Process

FROM SPORE TO MUSHROOM

The cultivation process is started by filling the growing area with full-grown compost. This compost is covered with a layer of casing soil during filling.

In the cultivation space the natural seasons are imitated by means of temperature and air humidity. In the first week it is ‘summer’. The temperature of the compost is then 25°C and the air humidity is high. The compost and the black casing soil mature with fluffy fungus threads.

Hereafter follows the ‘autumn’. The temperature is reduced, and the air is prepared to the right condition. The first buds appear a week later. From that moment on everything happens amazingly fast: the mushroom grows by 5% per hour.
